I just want to thank you for all the kindness shown to me and my family with the procedure of moving into this estate. I absolutely adore my home, and the street that I am in. You could not have given or put me, anywhere better. It was the best decision that I ever made. For the first time since John died 3 years ago I am happy, well…… as happy as I am ever going to be without him that is. I feel secure and safe and I have all the company that I could ever want. I have not felt that for what seems to be such a long time.
People here have accepted me and made me very happy and I have felt right at home and settled in well. This is not something that comes easily to me as I have always been a person that has backed off.

You are living in a secure, peaceful environment amongst considerate people in similar circumstances who understand and help one another.
There are plenty of activities you can join in, but if you feel a little off colour one day and do not attend everyone understands. Also there is no pressure to join in any particular event or activity, you do so only if you wish.
Another type of advantage is being able to go away, knowing your home is secure and safe from intrusion with willing neighbours who will water your garden and empty the mailbox.
Coming here was an enormous help in getting over my bereavement even with family nearby.

As occupiers of Home Unit 84 we consider ourselves fortunate to be living in such a friendly environment. Obviously the security we feel rates high for mature people and here surrounded by like minded people we can relax and take advantage of what this village has to offer from a quiet stroll round the village or for the more energetic a walk round the Whangarei Falls and along the river.
The amenities are excellent with a heated swimming pool, spa, gymnasium, restaurant where enjoyable meals are served at reasonable costs. Indoor bowls is a very popular pastime and table tennis for those who feel more energetic. The activities arranged are numerous from cards to pool and snooker, mini golf, croquet and a well cared for goldfish pond to relax at, greatly enjoyed by residents, visitors and grandchildren. All of this is here for people to take advantage of without going out of the gate.
